Zoomorphic imagery comes naturally to British-born artist and designer, Julie Jenkinson,
whose elegant patterns of intertwined animal forms were launched at this year's ICFF
into luxurious fabrics. Abstract and fluid, Jenkinson's detailed designs are fit for seating,
window or wall.
First introduced last year in Toronto, Animaze, her collection of wall coverings, art and fine
art prints were set amid Mid-century Modern design and furnishings. This is design to drool
over: a rich elegance of fused line, vibrant colour and intricate dimension. Her trademark
abstract repeat patterns beautifully complement contemporary and traditional interiors,
fine art and furniture.
Known for her rowdy cast of hybrid characters and creatures drawn from both imagination
and the subconscious, Jenkinson's art has been exhibited in Washington and Toronto with
a portfolio of her work included in The Drawing Centre's Viewing Program, NYC.
Whether your style is Modern, Victorian or Art Deco, Jenkinson's distinctive work will inspire
any interior.
Julie lives in Toronto with her dog named Snake.
